We didn’t make the “Elite 8″ round of the Enterprise 2.0 Launch Pad contest. That’s too bad, because we’d hoped to launch our product on stage at the conference. On the other hand, we can now devote all of our time from now until the start of the conference in mid-June testing, tuning and tweaking the Infovark Beta.
In other words, we’re still going to launch! We bought a plane ticket for Gordon to come to the U.S., and train tickets for both of us to get to Boston. We’ve got lots of thumb drives with the Infovark logo on them, just waiting for the final Beta version. If you see us at the conference, be sure to ask us for a copy!
And if you can’t make it to the conference, we’ll make the Beta release available on our website as well, so you can download it and try it out from wherever you happen to be.
We want as many people to try Infovark as possible. And we want to hear about your experiences with it. What questions do you have? What can we improve? What features caught your attention?
Beta tests are about gathering feedback. Software companies run a beta test when software is nearly ready for a final release, when the product gets a magic “1.0″ appended to the name. But there’s still time to refine elements of the user experience, so that customers get the best version possible.
We are! We’ve spent nearly two years building Infovark, based on a pile of ideas we generated while working for government and commercial clients. We think we’ve made something special.
We’ve certainly made something different. This isn’t the sort of business software you’re used to seeing at your workplace. And though we’ve tried explaining it in different ways at different times, this might just be the sort of thing you have to try for yourself.
We think that Infovark can help you collect information, connect it to the concepts you work with, and collaborate with members of your team.
Soon, you’ll be able to tell us what you think.
Infovark Beta will launch the week of June 22.
